DR. C.T. YEO – LUNG SPECIALIST

Certified in 1989 as a lung specialist in Singapore, Dr C. T. Yeo specialises in Airway Diseases and Lung Function Studies. He is known for his expertise in the condition of Bronchial Asthma and his work has been published in numerous articles, research studies and reports in peer-reviewed journals. Recognition of his work related to lung health and asthma has been seen on an international level where he has lectured widely and passionately on the subject of Pulmonology and Airway Diseases at seminars.

The knowledge gained over many years in his field of work as an asthma and lung specialist has led him to hold integral positions in the medical industry. He also actively imparted this knowledge on lung health and asthma treatments to his students at the Singapore General Hospital during his tenure at the hospital.

Having been trained as a specialist in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care in the UK, Dr C.T. Yeo ran the ICU department at the Singapore General Hospital in 1990. He provided training of areas such as insertion of lines and managing ill patients to medical students, postgraduates as well as nurses. It was in 1993 that he left for private practice.

The highlight of his work as an asthma and lung specialist is seen through his enthusiasm and keen passion, leading him to set up the Asthma Association in Singapore. A Steering Committee Member of ARIAP (Asthma Reality & Insights in Asia Pacific), Dr Yeo has been in the studies of asthmatic trends in the Asia Pacific Region. The insights from this study had further been published in various International Journals in Respiratory Medicine.
